Fr. Roy Cooper led a Parish day trip to Nodfa, a beautiful retreat house run by the Sisters of the Sacred Heart of Mary (the ‘Seafield Sisters’) in the foothills of Snowdon, on Wednesday 25th May. There was a full coach, and the journey went very quickly, as everyone was kept busy with word games and quizzes, with a variety of innovative prizes. The Sisters made everyone feel very welcome. After Mass, a hearty lunch was provided, much of which was home cooked. A short trip followed to ‘see the sea’ . . . the group then returned to the Retreat House to hear Fr. Roy’s story of his vocation to the Priesthood, and the part that the Sisters at Nodfa had played in his journey. The return trip went just as quickly with more word games, stimulating brains so that some might have been tempted to think of entering the ‘Brian of Britain’ contest . . . or not!
